Body Designs 108: Give 100% to Lose 3%

Hello Designers:

This week I am gonna reveal the latest Bill’s Boot Camp success storIES. Yes, my Fall-Weather Friends, two more clients have completed this Week Not For The Weak.

Participant Number 2 of Bill’s Boot Camp started out at 214 pounds and 18.4% body fat. That means he had almost 40 (39.38 to be exact) pounds of fat when we started.

After an entire week of eating exactly what I asked of him and five consecutive days of Boot Camp workouts, this client weighed in at 207.5! However, his body fat was not so good. He measured 17.3 percent. That meant his lean body mass (LBM) was 171.5. Three pounds less than when we started.

But, my dear fans, the truth is that this eager beaver actually did more cardio than what I asked of him. Instead of just running a mile as quickly as possible…he followed it up with an additional 30 minutes on the elliptical machine. Not part of the program!

So when we resumed our normal training schedule, I told him to continue eating exactly the same way he did “while at Camp”. I also told him that the rest his body was gonna get from dropping the training frequency down from five days to three, would actually help him to gain back some of the muscle he lost during the Boot Camp.

What do you think happened? Believe it or not, I was right.

After a week of following our normal training schedule and continuing to eat right, his body was able to recuperate and improve to levels that have yet to be seen in two weeks of training. He now weighs 210 and has a body fat of 15.1 percent. Those numbers reveal that his LBM is178.29 and 31.71 pounds of fat. So, in a two week period, this client managed to lose almost eight pounds of fat and gain 3.8 pounds of muscle. That’s a 3% change in body fat!

How ’bout that?!?! But wait! There’s more…

Participant Number 3 (the first female to complete the Camp) began at 131.5 pounds and 23% body fat. I have to admit, because her starting point was already above average, I was a little intimidated about what amount of success we could expect. But again, after a week’s worth of Bill, she managed to lose a little more than four pounds of fat and actually gain more than 2.5 pounds of muscle. That’s a 3% change in body fat!

Are you seeing the pattern here? Let me refresh your memory. If you go back to installment 104, you’ll also see that Boot Camp creator, Participant Number One, almost reached a difference of 3% in his body fat too.

The results speak for themselves. If you want to lose 3%, you have to give one-hundred percent!

Ps: Sorry for the early, or should I say late “delivery” of this week’s “report” – I just have a lot to do in the AM and wanna get a jump on the day!
